Youth Enlightenment Service is delighted to announce that through funding from the Community Grants Programme we will be running a free Level 2 BTEC Door Supervision Course.
The course is available for young people aged from 18 to 25 and from Black & Asian ethnic minority (BAME) communities in London.
This course is delivered over 4 consecutive days and learners will be given a Level 2 BTEC certificate when they pass their exam.
This course covers the subjects recommended by SIA (Security Industry Authority) and once completed will enable you to apply for your SIA license. It is a unique package with great benefits. If you would like to work as a Door Supervisor or as a Security Guard, this package will enable participants to begin a new career.
Course outline is as follows:
Part 1 – Door Supervision
- Duties and Responsibilities of a Door Supervisor
- Behavioural Standards, Civil and Criminal Law
- Searching ,Arrest Procedure
- Drug Awareness
- Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
- Licensing Law
- Equal Opportunities
- Health & Safety at Work, Emergency Procedure
Part 2 - Communication Skills and Conflict Resolution
- Customer Service, Communication Skills, Conflict Management
Our training venue will be at 436 Leroy House, Essex Road, N1 3QP in the London Borough of Islington. We will run this tailor-made course once a month and it will always be 4 days session between 9am to 5pm. This project will last for 3 months, and only 18 learners will be accepted on this course for free, so sign up quick!
We provide refreshments, advice & guidance, one to one support and support is available to help learners to create a good CV after the course.
Furthermore, on completion of the course, Learners will be given a potential employers list which will help and support them when they are searching for the ideal job.
